Mechanism of action:

Invirase (Saquinavir) inhibits the HIV viral proteinase enzyme which prevents cleavage of the gag-pol polyprotein, resulting in noninfectious, immature viral particles.

Dosage and Administration:

Use Invirase (Saquinavir) as directed by your doctor. Check the label on the medicine for exact dosing instructions.

  • Take Invirase (Saquinavir) and ritonavir within 2 hours after a full meal.

  • Ritonavir should be taken at the same time as Invirase (Saquinavir).
